There is much conversation about the identity of your major, and exercise science in the 21st century. Some argue that the degree in exercise science is meaningless, and others argue that it will be the key to the health of our nation.

There are numerous options for careers in the sports medicine sector. Many individuals spend much time discussing the career options such as physical therapy, exercise physiology, and terminal degree-based options (professor, researcher, etc.). However, many exercise science graduates venture into other interdisciplinary fields of work. In addition, many students think they understand the delicacies of a particular field, but many come to find out that the field of work they aspire to pursue is far different from what they expected.
