My experiences with Evernote's audio notes creation feature: Awesome!
I've heard many people complain about Evernote's hike in price structure a few years back. I've head many people complain about the company being stagnant and virtually non-enhancing over the last year or so. And I've heard my people discuss the alternative note taking programs out there. And this group of people would be right. But that doesn't mean Evernote isn't helpful anymore.
- They've stood the test of time.
- They continue to refresh the brand and communicate with their user base.
- They've enhanced their product software enough to intergrate with major players Microsoft, Google, and Sack recently.
- Their service is seamless. I'm also using Devonthink right now. And though the search features are truly, insanely crazy, the cross-platform syncing is not as good as Evernote.
I had a student who dealt with an accessibility issue, and absoloutely loved that I used evernote to record her lectures. I also used it to record a few podcast episodes. Talk about productivity and effective use and facilitation of resources!
And, if that doesn't work - they're still reliable. So, to all those who are afraid of losing your notes to Armegeddon one day: That day isn't anytime soon.
I think Evernote is here to stay.
And even if they arent, I'm pretty sure it's not the end of the world.
