Well Done. / by Dr. Tyrone Ceaser

Well done.

Well done.

Two of the most, if not the most, significant words I intend to hear in my time as human and spirit. Well done.

When the chips have fallen
and my time is over-
when I won’t cry anymore,
when I can’t get any older.
Well done.
When the doubters have ceased,
my pain has been eased,
my sorrows are gone,
my father is pleased.
Well done.
When the tides have changed,
the symbols arranged,
the pits have closed
the oceans deranged.
Well done.
When my hope is fulfilled,
my cup has spilled,
my sorrows erased,
my sins are killed.
Well done.
When my tears have dried,
my luck is tried,
my inequities blotted out,
I have no more pride.
Well done.
I yearned for those words,
I constantly purred,
for Him I continued my trials,
for Him, my loins gird,
for Him I would run,
for Him I was spun,
For Him, I’d do it again,
just to hear Him say -
Well done.
Well done.
