Architecture and Life.
I understand life through the lens of architecture. I understand my personal life through metaphors in Architecture and interior design. I must have something like 1000 photos saved on houzz, as I’m convinced I’ll design the perfect house one day. muhahahaha. Lol.
I devoured the August edition of Interior Design Magazine and was inspired by, of all things, the eyes of a human, the color palette, and the flat design of a magazine advertisement page. They were very simple components of the magazine, but I was very much inspired by it. This fit of inspiration prompted me to write this post and stop watching tv.
Construction. So much construction in architecture. And the thing I find so amazing about homes and interior/exterior design is that the artists (engineers, designers, architects) never give up on perfecting any one aspect of their creations. And on top of that, they can see the beauty and finished model of the project, even while it looks terrible and downtrodden during the construction phase, be it an uninspiring interior space or an abandoned home with asbestos crawling up and down the ceilings and vents. Such is my life, or at least the way I’d like to live it. I see so often, so many areas and needs for improvement. And I am always in a rush to try and improve those areas before someone lays eyes on me. That was, at least until up to about 3 years ago. Now, I just let the house be. I let the interior become functional and sustainable for me. And I find doing that keeps my construction neat, organized, and sensible.
No such thing as the perfect house in the beheld. Fuck the beholder. Lol.
