Love: Before you think it to be a stupid idea, think of what it's done for you.

i’ve counseled soldiers returning home from war. i’ve counseled people coming from failing marriages, gang affiliations, failing schools, failing marriages, and failing in general. all that to say they have something in common. the thing steering them, or the thing missing in their lives is always the same: LOVE.
and every time. 100 percent of the time: love NEVER steers me wrong.
i always look for where the love is lacking. I look for the gap where love didn’t get its just due. maybe it’s a little bit of me doing therapy on me while I’m looking for the therapeutic remedy in them. but it never fails.
i won’t sit here and paint a honky-dory picture of how love can save the day.
but love CAN save the day. and sure. a day can last 10 years in the spirit, but ….LOVE.
i think the problems in our world come down to love or a LACK thereof. call me FUCKING crazy.
but it’s so AMAZING to be loved. and i think we know that.
love makes men follow men they don’t even know into battle.
love makes a mother say yes to death, knowing her odds of surviving pregnancy are next to none.
love makes children.
love wakes me up EVERY day.
and when we’re married, love makes me spend all my time - with a girl who makes me feel her love is mine.
…there’s nothing better than love.
And when we’re done being doctors, lawyers, physicians, soldiers, players, prostitutes, gangstas, brothers, brothas, sistas, sisters, teachers, and fakers, love - love - it’ll remain here.
call me crazy. but in this WORLD, it’s the only thing that shouldn’t make sense but makes perfect sense.
